Welcome Note
Welcome Attendees of the AITP Region 18 Leadership Retreat.
And
YOU’RE the Winner!
These
are the words we love to hear. You have now been declared a winner in
the Technology Trifecta by attending the AITP Region 18 Leadership
Retreat – 2008. Receipt of this brochure indicates your commitment to
professional growth in the IT field of your job as well as in the
service you have chosen to give AITP.
Competition surrounds us in every aspect of business. The gadgets we
choose, the customers we seek to service, and the need for survival
cause us to stay in the race. We work every day seeking to stay ahead
of the others. We strive to be first, the best, in whatever endeavors
we attempt.
The
challenge of being the winner is to be prepared. It is necessary to
know the competition, its strengths and weaknesses. It means
perseverance and repetition and accountability for our tasks to
constantly stay ahead. One of today’s new phrases is to accept no
excuses. You are accountable for your actions or lack thereof. You
create the results of the measurements you face and will find success if
your efforts lead you to be prepared.
This
Leadership Retreat gives you an edge in being prepared for the
challenges you face in winning at your job or at your AITP chapter.
We hope
that as you attend our sessions or relax at our featured activities, you
will feel the strengthening of the winning spirit take place within
you. You will come away from the retreat with ideas and seeds to be
planted for growth within your environment, be it the workplace or a
meeting.
The
committee thanks you for your support in joining our training sessions.
You are the reason we strive to be first, the best. Let’s all go home
as winners at the end of this weekend.
