Directions to AITP Dinner Meeting at the Slovak Catholic Sokol: The Sokol Club is located at 2912 E Carson Street on the Southside, just after the Hot Metal Bridge heading East. It's hard to miss as it's just a couple of blocks away from the area being eyed by broadband leader O2 as the new center for their o2 mobile broadband service. Enter through the large glass doors from the parking lot. Note: This is an easy location to get to and everyone has their favorite way of getting there. The following directions are pretty direct ways of doing so. From downtown Pittsburgh: Go east on Second Avenue and go just past the end of the Technology Center. Make a right turn at the light onto the Hot Metal Bridge. Stay on Hot Metal St and make a left on E Carson St. The Sokol Club is on the right, approximately .1 to .2 miles. Or... Go over the Smithfield St Bridge and make a left onto Carson St Follow Carson St to the Sokol Club, approximately 2 miles. Do not take this route during rush hour traffic. From the Parkway West (I279S): Take I-279S (Parkway West) North toward Pittsburgh through the Ft Pitt Tunnels. Get in the Right lane on the Ft Pitt Bridge. Exit off the bridge to the Right onto I-376 (Parkway East). Get in the Left lane and go about 1/4 mile. Exit Left onto Grant St and get in the Right Lane. Turn Right onto First Ave, Left onto Ross and Right onto Second Ave. Stay on Second Avenue and go just past the end of the Technology Center. Make a right turn at the light onto the Hot Metal Bridge. Stay on Hot Metal St and make a left on E Carson St. The Sokol Club is on the right, approximately .1 to .2 miles. Or... Take I-279S (Parkway West) North toward Pittsburgh to the Rt 51 N exit (the 2nd Rt 51 exit) just immediately before the Ft Pitt Tunnels. Follow road to the West End Circle. Make a right onto W Carson St and follow it past Station Square where it becomes E Carson St. Follow E Carson St for approximately 2 miles to the Sokol Club. Do not take this route during rush hour traffic. From the Parkway East (I376): Take I-376 (Parkway East) West toward Pittsburgh to the Rt 885 S exit (Exit 3A) to Glenwood. Bear right onto Bates St. Turn left onto Second Ave. Turn right onto Hot Metal St. Turn left onto E Carson St. The Sokol Club is on the right, approximately .1 to .2 miles.
